Urban South Brewery and Dong Phuong Bakery are collaborating for the second time to merge two big elements a part of the New Orleans Carnival season: king cake and beer.

The partnership is bringing back their "Carnival Time" sour ale, along with other sours that feature classic king cake filling flavors.

The classic Carnival Time Sour Ale with king cake captures a familiar taste in New Orleans: Dong Phuong's cinnamon and cream cheese king cake. The renowned brewery and bakery are also bringing back the strawberry and coconut cream king cake filling sour ale flavors.

There will be one additional flavor joining the Carnival Time Sour Ale series: Almond Creme King Cake.

Guests will be able to include a slice of Dong Phuong king cake with Urban South Brewery's "Slice + Flight Pairing" experience. The brewery will also be selling whole Dong Phuong king cakes at their location in the Lower Garden District.

Urban South Brewery is located at 1645 Tchoupitoulas St. You can purchase Dong Phuong king cakes at the bakery's location in the New Orleans East at 14207 Chef Menteur Highway or purchase their king cake at one of their resellers in Louisiana and Mississippi.
