Photos: Tulane crushes Southern in a basketball game, 105-81
Tulane senior Kevin Cross never has been American Athletic Conference Player men’s basketball player of the week.
It is a virtual certainty the Green Wave’s incredibly versatile 6-foot-8 forward will pick up those honors for the first time on Monday, plus a slew of national awards.
After registering the school’s first triple-double in 26 years against Furman on Thursday night, he backed it up with another one as the Wave hammered Southern 105-81 at home on Saturday afternoon. His 20-point, 11-assist, 10-rebound effort put him in truly rare air.
