If you're anywhere near downtown Baton Rouge on Monday, traffic and parking might be a challenge.

Scores of people are expected to witness Gov.-elect Jeff Landry be sworn in as Louisiana's 57th governor, and to see other state officials and legislators take their oaths of office.

More than 100 legislators will be sworn in at a 10 a.m. ceremony in the State Capitol in Baton Rouge, while Landry will be sworn in and give an inaugural address at 11:30 a.m.

An inaugural ball will be held later that night at the Raising Cane's River Center.

Inaugural ball parking

For those attending the inaugural ball, which begins at 7 p.m., parking is available on River Road and in the East and West parking garages on St. Louis Street. There is a fee to park in those garages for most events.

The recommended drop off for attendees with disabilities is 275 South River Road, near the box office at the Portal-A entrance.

The Raising Cane's River Center is a cashless venue.
