The NFL Playoffs begin this weekend, and the Dallas Cowboys are set to take on the Green Bay Packers in one of the more intriguing wildcard matchups.
The Cowboys have been playing well as of late and were able to win the NFC East at 12-5, and they open as 7.5-point favorites over the 9-8 Packers at DraftKings Sportsbook.
The Packers have also been playing well having won their last three games to sneak into the playoffs, which came as a surprise in Jordan Love’s first season as the starting quarterback.
Love will be facing a tall task though against an imposing Cowboys defense led by Micah Parsons, and the Cowboys offense has been rolling with Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb leading the way.
Prescott and Lamb have been arguably the best quarterback to wide receiver combination this season, but they’ve had their share of postseason struggles under head coach Mike McCarthy.
McCarthy’s bunch is a rightful favorite considering they’ve had a much more successful regular season than the Packers, but Packers head coach Matt LaFleur has his team peaking at the right time.
The Packers are essentially playing with house money as the youngest team to ever reach the postseason, and they beat the Cowboys in their last two playoff meetings against them.
The oddsmakers are expecting a somewhat high-scoring game with the over/under total set at 50.5 points, which makes sense considering how well both quarterbacks have played down the stretch.
Kickoff for Packers at Cowboys is set for Sunday, Jan. 14 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX at 3:30 p.m. and will be broadcast on FOX.
