Baton Rouge: The ALS Association Louisiana-Mississippi Chapter, 14241 Coursey Blvd., Baton Rouge, has a mission to discover treatments and a cure for ALS, and to serve, advocate for and empower people affected by ALS to live their lives to the fullest.

Shreveport/Bossier: LightHouse Mentors, 520 Olive St., Shreveport, offers opportunities for busy community members, high school age and above, to mentor an at-risk child. Mentees range in age from 6 to 17. A LightHouse Mentor is a friend, coach, role model, adviser and resource for the mentee.
