The 2024 Hogs for the Cause will feature music by Band of Horses, Shane Smith & the Saints, the Record Company, Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country and Tanner Usrey.

They’re slated to join more than a dozen additional acts April 5-6 on the grounds of the University of New Orleans Lakefront Arena for the 16th edition of the fundraising festival.

At the nonprofit Hogs For the Cause, more than 90 teams compete to smoke and barbecue a wide array of pork delicacies. Proceeds, totaling in the millions of dollars, support families dealing with pediatric brain cancer.

Attendees roam the sprawling festival grounds, purchasing the results of the cooking teams’ all-night smoking and grilling, while also listening to a program of mostly Americana and local acts on multiple stages.

Two-day wristbands are on sale now at HogsFest.org for $99 plus fees. New this year is a two-day wristband that also includes 10 drinks, priced at $159 plus fees.

Various VIP packages are also available, including the "Goin' Ham Super VIP" pass for $1,000.

If available, single-day tickets will go on sale closer to the event.

Other acts slated for the 2024 Hogs include Drayton Farle, Briscoe, Eggy, Cole Chaney, the Mountain Grass Unit, the Ries Brothers, Yasmin Williams, the Iceman Special, Gyasi, Jive Talk, Deltaphonic and the Chris Christy Quintet.

Additionally, 17-year-old guitar phenom Grace Bowers will be the festival’s “artist-at-large,” sitting in with various acts throughout the weekend.

Additional artists will be announced.

“We are so excited to be included on the performance calendars of some of the best in American music today," Becker Hall, co-founder and CEO of Hogs for the Cause, said in a news release.

“This year, many of our bands are on tour or have newly dropped albums, and as usual, Hogs will be bringing you the next wave of breakout country stars in Tanner Usrey, Drayton Farley and Cole Chaney.”
